I started designing for Paleolicious in 2018, when it was a brand new food company, founded in a home-kitchen. My client wanted her gluten-free products (bread, pancake, cookie, and cracker mixes) to stand out on the shelves on California's central coast. I developed a visual identity for the brand, including a logo, bright color palette, and brand standards that would be used across a variety of baking mix products on shelves and online.
What differentiated Paleolicious from other gluten-free and paleo brands was how delicious the product was, despite whole food ingredients that many customers might not recognize, such as cassava flour. I landed on bright, approachable graphics, combined with photos of the final baked product itself to communicate taste.
