In 2024, I designed the complete visual identity for my own wedding — a garden party celebration set among the redwoods of Northern California. As both the designer and the client, I had total creative ownership over every printed and displayed piece, from the first save the date through the last day-of sign.
The botanical theme grew naturally from the venue — a redwood setting with lush surrounding gardens. I developed an original floral illustration in Adobe Illustrator that became the anchor motif across all pieces, paired with a restrained palette of dusty blue, warm tan, and blush that let the colorful natural surroundings do their work. Texture was central to the design: frayed ribbon on the invitations, satin blue ribbon suspending seating chart cards from a trellis, and recycled paper throughout.
The full suite included save the dates, invitations to both the main ceremony and the welcome party, and a complete set of day-of pieces: menu cards, drink and appetizer menus, guest book signage, and a phone-off reminder for the ceremony.
The floral motif was hand-drawn in Adobe Illustrator and used consistently across all pieces as a unifying visual element.
